Healthy Girl Travel Guide: Staying Well from Boston to Palm Beach

Let’s be real—traveling between Boston and Palm Beach sounds glamorous (and it can be), but frequent flying does a number on your body if you’re not careful. Dry cabin air, airport snacks, recycled germs… it’s not always cute. 😅

I split my time between the North Shore of Boston and sunny Palm Beach, and over time, I’ve built a go-to routine to keep myself feeling healthy, grounded, and energized—without needing a suitcase full of supplements or a PhD in wellness.

Here’s what works for me, from one travel-loving girl to another:

1. Water Before, During & After You Fly

Flying seriously dehydrates you, and dehydration = fatigue, dry skin, and a weaker immune system. I bring my favorite reusable water bottle (hi, brand collab? 👀) and fill it as soon as I’m through security. Bonus points for adding lemon or chlorophyll drops if I’m feeling extra.

2. My Immune Support Travel Kit

A few things always come with me, no matter how quick the flight:

  • Vitamin C + Zinc gummies

  • Elderberry drops

  • Oil of oregano (strong, but so good for immune support)

  • Sometimes I throw in a wellness shot from Pressed or Whole Foods if I have time before boarding.

I’m not a doctor—but I swear this helps keep me from catching whatever’s going around on that plane.

3. Move Your Body (Even a Little)

Before I head to the airport, I try to stretch or take a quick walk. After landing, I move again—even if it’s just a walk around the block. In Palm Beach, that usually means kicking off my shoes and walking barefoot on the beach. It grounds me and helps beat jet lag.

4. Healthy(ish) Snacks = Travel Sanity

Airport food is either super processed or wildly overpriced. I pack a few easy things like almonds, an apple with nut butter, or protein bars I actually like. Nothing fancy—just enough to avoid hanger or grabbing something that makes me feel blah later.

5. Essential Oils Are My Travel MVP

A little peppermint oil on my temples helps with tension and headaches. Eucalyptus clears the sinuses. And I always carry a thieves oil roller—it smells amazing and gives me a sense of protection (hello recycled plane air).

6. Sleep Support for Travel Days

If I’ve got an early morning flight or a late-night return, I take magnesium or use a natural sleep spray. No drama, no grogginess. I’ve learned the hard way that skipping sleep = getting sick or moody.

7. Chill Vibes Only

Let’s be honest—airports can be stressful. I’ve learned to go with the flow. Delays happen, people get cranky, lines are long. I keep calming tea bags in my bag, load up a playlist or podcast, and remember I’m lucky to be able to travel at all.

Final Thoughts

Staying healthy while flying between Boston and Palm Beach doesn’t require a total lifestyle overhaul—it’s just about being prepared, staying grounded, and listening to your body.

Whether you’re heading for sunshine or coming back to crisp coastal air on the North Shore, your wellness matters. If you’ve got go-to travel wellness tips or products you swear by, drop them in the comments or message me on Instagram @northshoregurl—I love hearing what works for you!
